A YouTube thumbnail is the picture people see before they click. In ALwrity YouTube Creator Studio, Thumbnail Studio makes that picture for the video you are already working on. It uses the title and presenter from your draft. You stay in one workspace, and you choose the result before you publish.

This guide covers one feature: Thumbnail Studio inside YouTube Creator Studio. It is written for everyday creators.

What is Thumbnail Studio?

Thumbnail Studio is the YouTube thumbnail generator inside ALwrity YouTube Creator Studio. You open it from the same place you plan and finish a video. Each Generate click makes one YouTube-sized thumbnail. You review it, keep it, use it on the video, or try again.

It is not a separate tool on another site. It is one step in Creator Studio. You can also generate a thumbnail by visiting Create Wedge.

Where does it pick up your title and presenter?

When you open Thumbnail Studio from a video draft, it fills in:

  • Video title from your draft

  • Thumbnail text from the first words of that title (you can change it)

  • Use my presenter, if you already added a host photo in Video Creator

You do not retype the title. You do not hunt for a face photo if it is already in the draft.

Keeping the same face on video scenes is a Creator Studio milestone: same face across every video scene. Thumbnail Studio can use that same presenter when the toggle is on.

The title and presenter come from your video draft so the thumbnail matches the video.

How to make a thumbnail, step by step

  1. Open YouTube Creator Studio.

  2. Open the video you are working on, or start from your latest draft.

  3. Open Thumbnail Studio.

  4. Check the Video title. Change it if needed. The on-image text follows the title unless you already typed your own words.

  5. Choose a Niche that matches the channel, such as Education, Vlog, or Tech.

  6. Optionally add a Main subject. Leave it blank if you want the picture to follow the title.

  7. Choose a Target emotion so the picture feels clear.

  8. Edit Thumbnail text. Keep it short so it reads well on a phone.

  9. Turn Use my presenter on if you want your host in the frame. Turn it off for a scene without a person.

  10. Choose quality: Standard or High.

  11. Click Generate. Wait for the full-size preview.

  12. Keep it for publishing, use it on this video, download it, or generate again.

One click. One thumbnail. You pick before you publish.

Presenter on or off

On: Your host stays in the thumbnail. This helps viewers recognize you. You need a presenter photo on the video first. If the photo is missing, add it in Video Creator, or turn the toggle off. See instant avatars and asset management if you are still setting up a host look.

Off: Thumbnail Studio builds a scene from your title, niche, subject, emotion, and on-image text. Use this when the video is not face-led.

Match the thumbnail to the video people will watch.

Same title, two looks. You decide whether your face belongs on the thumbnail.

What you can do with the result

After Generate, you can preview the thumbnail full screen, keep it for the publish step, use it on this video, download a copy, or open a saved thumbnail from your library.

When the video is ready, send it out from the same studio: publish or schedule to YouTube from ALwrity.
